Privacy policy

1. Who handles your data

This website and the Discord server are run by OracleBot. The shop and the game servers are run by Dko. This page describes what is collected on each of them, and why.

2. On this website

The website has no account, no registration form, no comment box and no tracker. It sets no advertising cookie and uses no analytics service. Nothing you do here is profiled or resold.

One single item is stored in your browser: the language you chose. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and disappears when you clear your browser data.

Like any web server, ours writes technical logs: IP address, date, page requested, browser. They are used to keep the site running and to block attacks, are never used to identify a player, and are deleted after fourteen days.

The only outside resource loaded by the site is the Google Fonts typeface. Your browser contacts Google to fetch it, which exposes your IP address to that service.

3. On the Discord server

Joining the Discord means your Discord identifier, your name, your avatar and your messages are visible to the staff, as on any server. Support tickets are kept while the case is open and archived afterwards, so that a decision can be checked later.

Discord is a separate company with its own privacy policy, which applies to everything happening on its platform.

4. On the game servers

Connecting to an ARK server records what the game itself records: your Steam or Epic identifier, your character and tribe names, your connection IP address, and the game log of your actions - taming, building, kills, raids, chat.

These logs are used to run the cluster and to investigate cheating or rule breaking. They are held by the game host, Nitrado, and kept as long as its own retention allows.

5. In the shop

A purchase is handled by an outside payment provider. Your card number and your banking details never reach us: we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.

What is kept on our side is the record of the order: the identifier of the account it was delivered to, what was bought, and the date. This is needed to deliver the purchase, to answer a later question about it, and to keep accounts of what the servers cost.

6. Who else sees this

Nothing is sold, rented or handed to advertisers. Data is only seen by the staff, and by the services the cluster runs on: Nitrado for the game servers, Discord for the community, Steam for identification, and the payment provider for purchases.

Data may also be disclosed if the law requires it.

7. Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Open a ticket on the Discord; the request is answered within a reasonable time.

Two limits are worth knowing before asking. Deleting your game data erases your character, your tribe and your progress, and this cannot be undone. And a deletion request never gives a right to a refund of anything bought: purchases stay final, as stated in the terms.

Some records are kept even after a deletion request when they are needed to enforce a ban or to keep proof of a sanction.

8. Age

The servers and the Discord follow the minimum age required by Discord and by Steam in your country. Anyone below it must not join, and no purchase may be made without the agreement of the person paying.

9. Changes and contact

This page may change. The version published here is the one that applies. Any question about your data goes through a ticket on the Discord.
